RENTAL AGREEMENT & TERMS OF SERVICE

Carolina Tote Rentals

Effective Date: June 2026

By completing your purchase, you agree to the following terms:

Equipment Responsibility

• You are responsible for all rented totes and equipment from delivery until pickup is completed.
• All items must be returned in the same condition as delivered, normal wear and tear excepted.

Damage or Loss Replacement Costs

• Tote (bin + lid): $10 each
• Tote Dolly: $40 each
• Handtruck: $150 each

Any damaged, destroyed, contaminated, or missing items may or will be charged to the card used at checkout at Carolina Tote's discretion.

Late Returns

If items are not ready for pickup on the scheduled date, additional charges may apply:

Tote Packages

• 20 totes: $40 per extra week or $7 per extra day
• 40 totes: $60 per extra week or $9 per extra day
• 80 totes: $80 per extra week or $12 per extra day

Hand Truck Rentals

• Standalone rental: $40 per extra week or $6 per extra day
• Tote package add-on: $20 per extra week or $3 per extra day

If you need more time, please contact us before your scheduled pickup date.

Pickup Access

• All totes must be empty, accessible, and ready for pickup at the scheduled pickup location.
• If equipment is not accessible or pickup cannot be completed as scheduled, additional fees may apply.

Proper Use

Totes may NOT be used for:

• Hazardous materials
• Flammable materials
• Chemicals
• Liquids without proper sealing
• Illegal items
• Any contents that may damage or contaminate the equipment

You are responsible for any damage caused by misuse.

Non-Smoking & Odor-Free Tote Policy

All rental totes must be returned clean, empty, and free from smoke, vape, tobacco, cannabis, pet, mold, chemical, or other strong odors.

The following are prohibited:

• Smoking inside or near open totes
• Storing tobacco products, cannabis products, or vaping devices in a manner that creates odor contamination
• Using totes to transport items that leave excessive odors, residue, stains, or contamination

Carolina Tote Rentals reserves the right to assess cleaning, deodorization, repair, or replacement charges for totes returned with:

• Smoke odor
• Tobacco residue
• Vape residue
• Cannabis odor
• Mold or mildew
• Pet waste or pet-related contamination
• Excessive dirt, stains, spills, or other contamination

Cleaning and deodorization fees may be charged based on the extent of contamination and may include replacement costs if a tote cannot be restored to rentable condition.

Liability

Carolina Tote Rentals is not liable for injury, loss, or damage to personal property arising from the use, misuse, loading, unloading, transport, or storage of items within the rented equipment.

You assume all risks associated with the use of the rented equipment.

To the fullest extent permitted by North Carolina and South Carolina law, Carolina Tote Rentals' liability shall be limited to the amount paid by the customer for the applicable rental.

Condition Acknowledgment

• All equipment is delivered clean and in usable condition.
• By accepting delivery, you acknowledge that the equipment is in satisfactory condition unless you notify Carolina Tote Rentals within 24 hours of delivery.

Changes & Extensions

Please contact Carolina Tote Rentals before your scheduled pickup date if you require additional rental time.

Extensions are subject to equipment availability and additional charges.

Non-Return & Replacement Charges

If equipment is not returned within thirty (30) days of delivery and no extension has been approved, the equipment will be considered unreturned and your card on file will be charged accordingly.

You authorize Carolina Tote Rentals to charge your payment method for replacement costs, including:

• Tote (bin + lid): $10 each
• Tote Dolly: $40 each
• Handtruck: $150 each

Returned equipment after replacement charges have been assessed may be eligible for a partial refund at Carolina Tote Rentals' sole discretion.

Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any dispute arising from this Agreement shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina.
